I hope you all have a wonderful celebration.
I remember those days when I was a teenager. You see,I had this Muslim friend of mine by the name Rukayyat. Rukayyat happened to come from a large Muslim family,such that celebrations like this were grand and filled with merriment. There was always a lot to eat and drink. I remember deliberately skipping breakfast and lunch at my home cos I intended to 'negotiate' Rukky's crib!
And Rukky never disappointed. Before me would be an array of delicious meal. The ram meat was always well spiced and fried. I would eat,drink and pick my teeth. Would gulp down my throat cold drinks,until I belched and could take no more.
A few years later Rukky converted to Christianity!
I won't want to say I was disappointed though it felt like it then ! Hehehehe.. just that I missed the plenty fried meat and cold drinks. Missed the merriment.
And now it's sallah again. I know many peeps would want to "negotiate" as I did!
Oya now.... Let the "negotiation" begin! Lol
