Hey, good readers of Meme's blog. I salute y'all this pleasant morning. Trust you slept well and woke on the right side of the bed..just like I did! (smile)
I got a few questions for you concerning relationships conceived through Social media,a widely spread rave of the moment. Would love to read your candid opinion as regards it.
And here goes the questions :
"Relationships sought, conceived, nurtured and consummated through social media.....Is it here to stay? Is it a healthy process to a long lasting relationship? What are the misgivings of seeking a relationship through this medium? What's the brighter side to the picture?"
*I for one see nothing wrong in seeking and nurturing a relationship through social media but,see EVERYTHING wrong in being hastily committed to such a relationship as it's wise to get to know him/her properly (and this can largely be done through physical contact and assessment over time)
Over to you peepz! What's your take?
I don't see anything bad in it,just dat some pple use dis medium in seeking men and woman to sleep wit bcos dey have twisted and evil mind,I have gone to weddings where dey melt online and even have kids now and dey are still some much in love
ReplyDeleteRubbish. All of them are fake!I don't take any guy I meet on social network seriously.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...i've fallen prey to the evil machination called social media many times.May be I was unlucky. But,i'll never advise anyone to build a solid relationship via this medium.
ReplyDeleteI see nothing wrong whatsoever in building a relationship through the social media. My fiance and I met on facbook and ever since its been a blossoming affair. Our wedding is coming up in february.
ReplyDeleteE- love....its courtship after wedding..
ReplyDeletei wont encourage any one i know to go through social media, its a false world and fake personality out there and i think only desperate ladies seek relationship there..few people get lucky tho..still not advisable at alll!!
ReplyDeleteAnon8:02,they really MELT on line indeed,,i can't stop laughing LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere are many fake idiots seeking liaison through social media. It takes good judgement to sort out the good and genuine ones. I agree with you that physical contact is required to make assessment and confirm any opinion formed. While social media is indeed useful in commencing and nurturing a relationship, physical contact is vital in the final cementing of the relationship. #S#

ReplyDeleteMy take is that it depends on how you play your part,as in the role you choose to play in the game. You can meet your spouse anywhere,in the club, hospital, internet, service of songs,weddings,etc..
ReplyDeleteWhat will be will be.
Social media can be used for both positive and negative ends, both parties must be open enough to lay out what they are giving and expecting in the relationship. The relationship should also mature beyond social media.
ReplyDeleteGreat post

Service of songs kwa?!You must be a joker.Lmao
ReplyDeleteIts not a good channel at all.cos not all met in a social media a true some r fake. N relationship build in such a way its bound to collapse. I don't advise but few pple r lucky to build a good one.
ReplyDeletePeople meet at all sorts of places, its not about the place we meet, its about the motive. Most people use the social media as an advanced means of prostitution but others have found true love through these means. Bottomline is what do you really want in a relationship? That determines what you get in the relationship and how far it goes
ReplyDeleteU guys all need to look inwards. I refer to those of you that have condemned Social Media dating. You can meet a guy in the Church and he ends up doing you, your sister, your best friend nd ur neighbour. It's never bout the medium. It's about the indivuals....Please if u have fallen victim, victim of what exactly? cos u had sex with a guy and it didn't progress to something permanent? Or because some babe collected money frm u and didn't deliver? Pls these are everyday facts of life. It happens in churches these days. So just be generally careful all that's all. Kudos to those who have made a success of social media dating......CJS
