Got this mail from an ardent blog reader. You know what we do and how we do..... read and drop a word or two of useful counsel.
Thanks y'all..
"I'm so so angry with myself. I feel i've failed in my duty as wife and mother. How can a responsible mother of 5 kids,a woman married for 11 years,a deaconess in the body of christ, leader in the women's arm of the ministry in church,a respectable accountant in the bank where she works, be crushing on her boss?
Sounds weird,right? But true.
I didn't just see Mr Fola Williams for the first time and start visualising myself in bed with him; nor did I see his dashing smile and fantasize falling recklessly for him. Don't know the exact point it started, this mad crush. Can't recall the moment I began to crave his nearness. But it just happened. Now he has got me hooked on him.
I would be telling a lie if I said he made any form of sexual advances towards me. Honestly nothing of the sort has ever ensued. He always had a warm smile for everyone,a friendly word and if he had reasons to chastise anyone in the office,it was always done firmly, yet kindly.
My husband isn't bad man,in fact he's a very wonderful person. So you can see why I feel terrible that I harbour strange feelings for my boss.
Truth is I want to screw my boss so bad.
Truth is I want that bulgy biceps around me.
I want that smooth lips of his on mine.
Okay,I think I can almost hear you say,"slut!"...but please don't be quick to judge me. I haven't been a promiscuous woman. All the time I've been married,I've stayed faithful. Never before now have I spared a thought for another man, talk less of my boss in the office. Well, until now I suppose.
Thoughts of my boss keep me awake at night.
If only he knew he had such effect on my senses..or did he have a clue that this woman,I mean this rather devoted and efficient accountant was consumed by a wanton desire to have him?
It's eating me up each day. I don't want to cheat on my hubby, yet I'm gradually succumbing to the desire to sleep with my boss.
Hold on,who amongst you has ever experienced this kinda stuff? Be honest. You are in love with your partner yet you want to taste another, feel another. Does this have to do with the fact my hubby married me a virgin? This craving,I mean...is it because I really didn't actually exploit my sexuality as a growing woman before I got married?
I'm looking forward to hearingy from you all. Thank you.
*Worried wife*
* Deep sigh.. okay guys let's do this!

"How can I tell the man I've come to love so much that I'm barren??" -Blog visitor laments.
Hello Meme, please publish my story. I look forward to reading other blog readers' opinion and counsel. Thanks so much.
I met Benjamin 8 months ago through a mutual friend and we kicked it off immediately. That was the first time I actually believed in Love at first sight. He made my temperature rise,my heart beat fast,my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth. I stared into his clear grey eyes and I knew we were meant for each other.
Benjamin and I became inseparable. Yes,we were the cynosure of all eyes. Everywhere he went,he took me along. He was so proud of me. I gloried in the fact that he found me beautiful even though I sometimes felt my features were just too plain. I won't deny the fact that I used to feel kinda inferior compared to his charming good looks. But trust Benji to quickly dispel such feelings. He constantly assured me I was the best, the prettiest of all and in no time I began to feel so.
He took me to meet his parents eventually. Wow,they were such warm, loving people. His mum particularly wouldn't allow me do anything around the house. She was the mother hen fussing around her chick. She asked me to tell her how I met Benji. She was so excited, hahaha. I slowly recounted the moments. Delightedly she hugged me afterwards and exclaimed,'I have found my daughter in-law at last!"
Now,my past is gradually creeping in on me. I won't exactly say I lived a promiscuous life..yeah I'd been involved in a few relationships here and there. You know how the story goes -you fall in love with him,he breaks your heart, you move on to the next guy. The next guy cheats on you,you can't take it..on to the next one until you find that special man who would want you as wife.
During this 'on to the next dude' cycle,I fell in love with an older man who lavished money, care and all the goodies you can think of on me. He was so affectionate. Passionate. Mature. I still remember him vividly till date. His name was Biodun. Unfortunately he died on his way down to see me from Ibadan where he worked. My life crumbled. I thought I would die. Thank God for good friends and family who supported and nurtured me back to life.
..And then I discovered I was pregnant!
Oh no..
Much as I would have loved to keep a part of Biodun with me,honestly I felt it was unwise to do so. Being a single mum..?! The idea sucked. I was terrified. I had barely left the university and didn't have much in my bank account. Taking care of a baby didn't sound appealing at all. Well,I took myself to the doctor who performed the D&C. It was a myriad of emotions for me that day. Relief. Sadness. Trepidation. You name it.
A year later I met some other guy. I didn't exactly feel love for Jim at first but eventually I grew very fond of him. He told me plainly that he wanted to get married,as he needed to raise his own family. I
accepted his proposal. One evening, precisely 6 months into the relationship he told me to get pregnant first before he went on with the marriage plans. I was stunned!
"Why Jim? Do you doubt my fertility or what?!"
"Not that..." he scratched his head," It's my mum... She wants to be sure her daughter-in-law is not barren." He smiled broadly. "Let's do this dearie. Get pregnant. Let's make her happy."
"Really?" It was funny to me.
"Sure."
"Okay."
But the pregnancy never came. At first I didn't think there was more to it. Perhaps I was overly anxious,or something. We tried harder, took some fertility pills and all that. But to no avail.
I decided to see a gynaecologist on my own, and that was when the bombshell was dropped! I had lost my womb during the last abortion I had. I just wouldn't believe it. I went to see another gynaecologist who confirmed it too.
I think I died that day.
Moving like an automaton,I walked to Jim's house and blurted the truth.I decided to take my chances. If he loved me truly,we could do this. I turned tear-filled eyes at him, awaiting his response. My heart was beating fast.He wouldn't look at me as he fidgetted with the hem of his shirt. "I'm sorry dear. I can't marry you. I hope you understand. I need a family,kids..you know..My parents want grand children too."
"I..know. I'm sorry too."
I walked out of his life that day.
That was two years ago.
Now you can imagine why I feel like my life is being torn into shreds again. I'm worried again. How do I tell my love that I can't bear kids for him? That i'm barren? I fear he'll leave just like Jim did. And if I withheld such vital fact from him, wouldn't that be more grievous?
I really must admit that I don't know what to do at this point.
Please I need your counsel. No insults please. Thank you.

Court nullifies the collection of any toll/tariff on the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge.
A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, today nullified the collection of any toll or tariff on the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge, according to report by Sahara reporters : -
Ruling on the suit, which was filed by human rights lawyer, Ebun Adegboruwa, presiding judge, Justice Saidu, J. held that the power of control over all navigable waterways in Nigeria resides in the Federal Government, and not any state government.
He held that from all the documents made available to the court, the only justification for the toll fee on the bridge by Lagos State is the private partnership law.
However, he noted that the law could not apply to the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge since it was built with the money of the Lagos State Government, without the involvement of any private partnership.
“Thus, since there is no law supporting the toll fee, it is illegal and should be stopped forthwith”, Justice Saidu said.
Gross! 22-year-old female addicted to eating makeup.
This is on another level....22 year old Brittoni is addicted to eating makeup..Her favourite are metallic eyeshadow in light brown, white and grey .Brittoni's unusual habit began when she was just five years old and, intrigued by the colours in her mother's make-up case, decided to taste it. Mailonline reports, She now spends upwards of $200(N30,000) a week on cosmetics to eat.Instead of putting make-up on her face, she prefers to eat between 15 and 20 compacts a day...
'I cannot live without eating make-up.You can imagine it just coating your insides with whatever colour you're eating. It's just like craving your favourite candy bar.'Seeing all the colours made me want to taste it.'Once I tasted it, I just could not stop eating make-up.Continue for more..
'My favourite type of eyeshadow to eat is usually the metallic colours.. 'My favourite colours are grey, white and the light colour browns. Light colours usually taste a lot cleaner than darker colours.'I hide make-up everywhere around my house, 'Under the couches, in the flower vases, the freezer..
. My hair is long so I like to use it to conceal the make-up I would like to bring. I keep myaddiction to make-up hidden because I'd rather not go through the hassle of explaining it to people. My mother doesn't know but if she knew, I'd never hear the end of it and it would go on for hours and hours every day.
'When I come into the store, I have to taste to make sure I bought the right ones,'I would just pour some on my hand, look around to make sure no-one's walking down the aisle and I would just lick it. If it's not the right kind and since nobody sees me lick it, I'll put it back. I know that's kind of wrong but I don't want to get stuck with something I don't eat or wear.

True OR False??Check out what this dude has to say about the ladies!
Hey peeps,happy weekend to y'all..
While surfing through the net this morning,I saw this rather interesting piece posted by a friend and I thought to share here. Tell me if you share his opinion..tell me if you think it's true or false..
You will agree with me after reading these facts that :-
(1) Most black girls you knew five years back are now white.
( 2) 98% of our girls today believe attachment hair is better then their natural God given hairs.
(3) Girls also think fixing of Nails, eye lashes and other foreign bodies makes them more sexy but that's a big lie. It doesn't work always.
It even makes some of them much uglier!
(4) Girls always want to end up with tall handsome guy without knowing how beautiful his heart is or how focused the guy is.
(5) They always want to speak like English girls each time they attend a function but end up regretting because of the flaws they make while speaking.
(6)Because of this inferiority complex, they've not been able to see the natural beauties in them.
(7) Be yourself, be original,it pays because black is Beautiful!
True Or False ?
*So? Fill me in..hehehehe

SWEETEST STING (Short fiction story PART 2)
Hana had a close friend named Pelemoh who happened to be classmates with her. At 19,Pelemoh already had six relationships with men, having lost her virginity at the tender age of 14. Whenever Hana shunned the advances of men she would wag her head in plain unbelief and pity. She never imagined, for the life of her,how Hana could deny herself the thrills of dating a man and the pleasures of consummating the relationship. It beat her that her friend was so naive, and annoyingly so!
"Virgin Mary! " she would taunt her endlessly, watching Hana squirm in discomfort. Somehow,Hana's naivety humoured her. "Pelemoh, please let me be o. I'm not complaining..."she whined when Pelemoh became unbearable.
" -do you think you're still a baby??huh,do you? Oh please! " Pelemoh would interject,a trifle annoyingly.
One day,a sunny tuesday afternoon precisely,Hana was returning home from school in the company of two of her classmates when a navy blue high lander jeep pulled up right beside her. "Hello pretty girl..Where are you heading to?" came the deep voice of the stranger from within. "Me?" one of the girls queried, batting her eyelid and unconsciously jutting her rear. Oh,she was pretty, knew it and didn't waste precious time to display her rather striking features. Everyone in their class knew Mena was worldly. Everyone knew she dated more than one guy. In fact who wouldn't,when she so ceaselessly rapped about Jide,Mascott and Ibrahim to all? She was one person who held on to the strong belief that variety kinda spiced things up. Or did it?
"Hello sir.." she mouthed, lowering her eyelids now. She gestured at the other girls to keep moving.
"Not you dear,I'm referring to..Her!" The stranger smiled lopsidedly, pointing at Hana. Hana's eyes rounded in shock, and then terror. Before one could mouth,"Meme" she pivoted on her heels and fled. Pelemoh and Mena broke into laughter. The stranger in the jeep joined too. And then suddenly Mena seemed to remember that she had only a few seconds ago been rejected by the stranger. She stopped laughing and turned a hostile face at him.
"What are you still waiting for? Virgin Mary has taken to her heels! Screech on,go find her..that's if her reverend dad doesn't teach you a lesson you wouldn't forget in a hurry!" she threw at him maliciously.
"Oh yeah? I don't mind being taught a lesson by her dad since she's worth it. But you,I mind being taught one.." He wound up and stepped on the ignition. He indeed screeched away after that retort.
Pelemoh hid a small, mischievous smile, secretly glad Mena had been turned down by the stranger. Sometimes it infuriated her that she always did think herself to be the prettiest, the sexiest of them all. Not like she was facially pretty anyway..pffffttt..she wasn't! Okay, Fine, she had well rounded breasts,a tiny waist, large hips and rotund backside(Well, may be this meant pretty to the guys!)but that was all to Mena.
"Is that a smile on your face Pelemoh??" Her voice broke into her thoughts. Jeez, she hadn't been aware she had the smile plastered on her face.
"Smile? Oh no."
"You better not!" she bit out angrily, increasing her pace as she continued her walk home.
Pelemoh sneered behind her and shrugged, the smile deepening now as she diverted to the pathway leading to her house.
To be continued.
Watch out for "sweetest Sting, part 3 coming up tomorrow.

SWEETEST STING (Short fiction story)
HANA.She was named after her paternal grandmother who died the very day she was born. At 18, her physical attributes made many a male head turn. If the men weren't whistling in blatant admiration, they were probably gazing at her lewdly with many conflicting, riotous thoughts running in their heads. Maybe it was her Childlike innocence that was the appeal..or the fact that she seemed quite oblivious of how truly beautiful she was.
Hana lived with her parents,Mr and Mrs Jeremiah Udoh, devout christians who constantly drummed into her ears that she had to live an 'untouched' life till the day she got married . He often times reiterated in that husky voice of his,"I married your mum a virgin. She was unspoilt. Untouched. I made her the woman, the mother she is today! Anything short of emulating your mum means hell for you. And hell is right here..under my roof!" And then Hana would nod her head vigorously, accepting that she had to follow suit. She soon swept away the niggling thoughts of a young man's hand on her bare skin, the gentle caress of his breath against her nape, the feather light pecks on her rosy cheeks, and the promise of undying love. Truth was the romantic novels she secretly read when she was alone in the confines of her room triggered a raging, yet unfulfilled desire to belong to a 'tall, dark and handsome' man. Firmly positioning her mind on being the good virgin girl, she shunned the advances of the male species, her father's stern voice reverberating non stop on her mind..

Horror! Pastor cuts off 2 year old fingers..says it was in error!
Wonders,they say,shall never cease o!
The Sabo Police Station on Tuesday arraigned a 49-year-old pastor, Moyo Martins, before a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly cutting off the fingers of a two-year-old child, Saidat Faleye.
Punch reports that the incident happened on Olumo Street, Iwaya Onike, Yaba, Lagos State. It was learnt that thelittle girl's mother, Mrs. Bola Faleye, had left her in the care of Martins on Thursday, when she wanted to take her bath. About five minutes later, the child suddenly let out a loud shriek of pain which drew the attention of neighbours. They reportedly alerted her mother who equally rushed to the scene in panic. She found her child’s ring and little fingers chopped off.
It was alleged that Martins sawed off the fingers in his room. The kid was said to have been rushed to a hospital within the area for treatment. Soldiers attack Boko haram camp, seize 700 Vehicles.
The Special Forces involved in the ongoing campaign against the Boko Haram insurgents have recorded what security sources have described as one the greatest breakthroughs in the campaign against terrorists in the North-East.
Investigations on Tuesday revealed that the Special Forces, comprising ground troops and the Air Force fighters, had demobilized one of the strongest fortresses of the Boko Haram sect.It was learnt that the soldiers, who carried out the operation, were shocked by the volume of arms and ammunition and hundreds of operational vehicles that they captured at the camp.
A source put the number of vehicles captured from the insurgents at 700 while several members of the sect were arrested.
The spokesman of the 7th Division, Col. Mohammed Dole, referred our correspondent to the Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen Chris Olukolade, for comments on the issue.
Olukolade, who confirmed the capture of the Boko Haram camp, said that several terrorists who were wounded in the military raids were arrested and had made useful confessions.
The Director of Defence Information said in an electronic mail on Tuesday that some of the wounded terrorists who were captured near Lake Chad were pleading for mercy and were cooperating with interrogators from the Multi-National Joint Task Force.
Olukolade said that some of the insurgents were captured by troops around Dikwa, Cross Kauwa, Kukawa and Alargarmo.
He said that the captives revealed during interrogation that some of the camps were disbanded as the sect could no longer sustain the operation.
“In their confessions, it was revealed that some of the camps have been disbanded following the directive of their clerics who declared that the operation of the sect had come to an end as the mission could no longer be sustained.
“The captured terrorists, who are giving useful information as to the locations of their remnant forces, are full of apologies and pleas for their lives to be spared promising to cooperate,” the statement reads in part.
Olukolade said that the captured insurgents complained of starvation and the frequency of bombardments as some of the major problems which affected them.
The Defence spokesman warned members of the public to stay away from the area, saying troops were still continuing with the operation in the three states.
“They confirmed that starvation was a major problem in addition to ceaseless bombardments on the camp locations even when they kept relocating. They also confirm that several members of the group have been wounded and no treatment was forthcoming. Troops have continued their assault on other locations across the states covered by the state of emergency.
“Meanwhile, members of the public who have started visiting to engage in sight-seeing in some dislodged camps and fringes of forests such as Sambisa and others have been warned to desist from doing so as the tendency will no more be condoned where operations are still ongoing.
“The general area still remains a theatre and movement remains restricted as the environment has to be cleared for safety of citizens. The public will be informed when the locations are safe enough.”
It was learnt that the seized vehicles included those that the insurgents used for attacks and other vehicles they snatched from people.
Military sources said that the camp was well planned with boreholes, dispensary and other facilities to aid the operations of the insurgents.

14 year old rape victim rescued by OPC members.
According to PM News ,the report states :
The victim said that shortly after she spread some cartons and was about to sleep, a man pushed her from behind and she fell on the floor.
She narrated that the man used her belt to tie her neck and used a cloth to cover her face and started raping her.
The victim said she screamed and shouted for help but there was no one to rescue her and the man raped her four times.
She alleged that thereafter, a night guard, whom she described as huge and tall, and wore eyeglasses, came with a torch light and left with the rapist to an unknown destination.
She alleged that the night guard left her with blood all over her body without making any attempt to help her.
She alleged that the guard only came the next day to chase her across the road to the public toilet where she was later found by the OPC members and sympathisers.

Writer/activist Ayo Sogunro replies Sadiq Abacha on behalf of Wole Soyinka.
Writer /Activist writes Sadiq Abacha an open letter on behalf of Wole soyinka . Read letter after the cut :
I do not know you personally, but I admire your filial bravery - however misguided - in defending the honour of your father, the late General Sani Abacha. This in itself is not a problem; it is an obligation—in this cultural construct of ours - for children to rise to the defence of their parents, no matter what infamy or perfidy the said parent might have dabbled in.
The problem I have with your letter, however, arises from two issues: (i) your disparaging of Wole Soyinka, who—despite your referral to an anecdotal opinion that calls him as “a common writer”—is a great father figure, and a source of inspiration, to a fair number of us young Nigerians; and (ii) your attempt to revise Nigerian history and substitute our national experience with your personal opinions. Continue...Therefore, it is necessary that we who are either Wole Soyinka’s “socio-political” children, or who are ordinary Nigerians who experienced life under your father’s reign speak out urgently against your amnesiac article, lest some future historian stumble across the misguided missive, and confuse the self-aggrandized opinions of your family for the perceptions of Nigerians in general.
Your letter started with logical principles, which is a splendid common ground for us. So let us go with the facts: General Sani Abacha was a dictator. He came into power and wielded it for 5 years in a manner hitherto unprecedented in Nigerian history. Facts: uncomfortable for your family, but true all the same.
Now, for my personal interpretations: between 1993 and 1998 inclusive, when your dada was in power, I was a boy of 9 to 14 years and quite capable of making observations about my political and cultural environment. Those years have been the worst years of my material life as a Nigerian citizen. Here are a few recollections: I recollect waking up several mornings to scrape sawdust from carpentry mills, lugging the bags a long distance home, just to fuel our “Abacha stoves” because kerosene was not affordable—under your father. I recollect cowering under the cover of darkness, with family and neighbours, listening to radio stations—banned by your father. I recollect my government teacher apologetically and fearfully explaining constitutional government to us—because free speech was a crime under your father’s government. Most of all, I remember how the news of your father’s death drove me—and my colleagues at school—to a wild excitement, and we burst into the street in delirious celebration. Nobody prompted us, but even as 13 and 14 year olds, we understood the link between the death of Abacha and the hope of freedom for the ordinary man.
These are all sorry tales, of course. Such interpretations would not have occured to the wealthy and the privileged under your father’s government, but they were a part of the everyday life of a common teenager under that government. The economics were bad, but the politics were worse. And I am not referring to Alfred Rewane, Kudirat Abiola and the scores killed by the order of your father. Political killings are almost a part of every political system, and most of those were just newspaper stories to us. In fact, I didn’t get to read most of the atrocities until long after your father died. So, these stories did not inform the dread I personally felt under your father’s regime. And this was true for my entire family and our neighbours.
Instead, the worry over our own existence was a more pressing issue. Your father, Sani Abacha was in Aso Rock, but his brutality was felt right in our sitting room. We were not into politics and we didn’t vocally oppose Abacha, yet we just knew we were not safe from him. You see, unlike any dictatorship before or after it—your father’s government personallyand directly threatened the life and freedoms of the average Nigerian. Your father threatened me. And if your father had not died, I am confident that I would not be alive or free today.
Think of that for a while.
Now, let’s come to Wole Soyinka. First: you can never eradicate the infamy of your father’s legacy by trying to point out the failings of another Nigerian. Remember what you said: A is A. Abacha is Abacha. And no length of finger pointing will wash away the odious feeling the name of Abacha strikes up in the mind of the average Nigerian. Second: Don’t—as they musician said—get it twisted: Wole Soyinka did not antagonize your father just because he was a military man—Wole Soyinka was against your father’s inhumanity. Your father was intolerant of criticism beyond belief.
Your father made military men look bad. Your father’s behaviour was so bad it went back in time and soiled the reputation of every military man before him. Your father, finally, made Nigerians swear never—ever—to tolerate the military again. Soyinka may have worked with the military before—but your father ensured that he will never work with the military again. Do you see? Three: Evil comes in many forms: there is no qualification by degree. There is no “good” evil thing. Sani Abacha, Boko Haram, Hitler, slavery—they all fit into the same category of misfortunes. Soyinka is right: Abacha was just as bad as Boko Haram is—deal with it. Four: Soyinka has been kind enough to limit his criticism to the unenviable awards this inept government has given your father. But, you see, in a saner political system, we wouldn’t just ignore your father, we would have gone one step further and expunged the Abacha name from all public records. Wiped without a trace. Abacha would forever be a cautionary tale against the excesses of political power. In a saner political system.
Abacha was brutal—and Soyinka was one of those individuals who gave us inspiration in those dark days. He was part of the team that founded the underground radio station to counter your father’s activities. Let me rephrase in pop culture language: Wole Soyinka was the James Bond to your father’s KGB. Most of the influential people either kept quiet or sang the praises of your father to stave his wrath. But a few like Soyinka spoke, wrote and even went militant against Abacha. But at the end, even Soyinka who never ran from a fight had to run from your father. That was how terrible things were. And now you want Soyinka to join the praise singers of your father? I’m not certain Soyinka has grown old enough to forget how he escaped your father, slipping across the border in disguise. You will have to wait awhile to get that praise from him.
Now, back to you. You have a deluded sense of your father’s role in the progress of Nigeria’s history. Nigeria has managed to be where it is today, not because of leaders like your father—but in spite of leaders like your father. This is a testament to the Nigerian spirit of resilience, and our unwavering optimism in a better future. You owe every Nigerian an apology for daring to attribute this to the leadership of Abacha. Those “achievements” you believe were accomplished under your father were simply all the things he had to do to keep milking the economy, and thereby perpetuate himself in power—they benefited Nigeria only if, by Nigeria, you meant your family and your cronies.
Your tone is that of a white master who justifies his oppression because he clothed and fed his black slaves. That is what your father did. The fact that we choose not to regurgitate, and reflect on that socially traumatic period doesn’t mean we accept it as your entitlement. We have not forgotten, and we will never forget. Sani Abacha raped Nigeria. Your father raped us. Your father raped us and then pressed some change into our hands. And he then tried to marry us forcefully, too. You may think all this is well and good—but then you’ve never been raped before.
But we now live under a democracy—the kind your father denied us—and so you are free to talk. And so you are free to insult the people who ensured that your father had sleepless nights. Had the revolution your father rightly deserved happened, you—and the rest of your family—would have been lined against a wall, before you could pen one article, and shot.
And we would probably have cheered.
But we live under a democracy now—a system of government where even the scions of former oppressors can talk, and write freely, about the benefits of dictatorship. That’s a democracy. A concept your father wouldn’t have understood.
Regards,
Ayo Sogunro
